Richard Roth received his MFA from Tyler School of Art, Philadelphia and his BFA from The Cooper Union, New York.

Roth is professor emeritus in the Painting and Printmaking Department at Virginia Commonwealth University. He is also author, artist and designer, and his work has been exhibited worldwide.
