These small pieces of adhesive paper transcend their materiality to become vessels of idolatry, nostalgia, and personal identity, each bearing the visage of soccer legends who have captivated the imaginations of millions.
In the realm of contemporary art, the act of appropriation serves not only as a bridge between the past and the present but also as a reflective surface for societal desires and collective memory. Our "Sticker Album" group show, delves into this intricate dialogue through a unique lens—historic stickers, emblems of soccer's illustrious legacy and a testament to the universal penchant for collecting.

At the heart of this exhibition lies the convergence of visual art and the global phenomenon of soccer, encapsulated within the ephemeral yet enduring medium of stickers. These small pieces of adhesive paper transcend their materiality to become vessels of idolatry, nostalgia, and personal identity, each bearing the visage of soccer legends who have captivated the imaginations of millions. Drawing inspiration from these historic stickers, artists in the "Sticker Album" show re-imagine and re-contextualize the imagery of famous soccer players, exploring the boundaries of appropriation art.

This exhibition is an ode to the human urge to collect, a practice that begins in childhood and often continues into adulthood. Collecting, whether it be stamps, coins, or stickers, is more than a hobby; it is a means of constructing a personal narrative, a way of preserving moments in time and asserting one's place in the continuum of history. Through the lens of soccer—a sport that epitomizes teamwork, passion, and global unity—the "Sticker Album" show examines how this act of collecting shapes our understanding of community and identity.

The artworks presented in this exhibition are not mere representations; they are invitations to explore the layers of memory, fandom, and artistic expression that these stickers encapsulate.

"Sticker Album" also raises pertinent questions about the nature of appropriation in art. In an age where the lines between homage, inspiration, and infringement are increasingly blurred, this exhibition encourages a thoughtful examination of the ethics and aesthetics of borrowing and reimagining existing works. By focusing on stickers—a symbol of mass-produced, commercial imagery—the show engages with ongoing debates about originality, authenticity, and the democratization of art.

Ultimately, the "Sticker Album" group show is a celebration of the shared human experiences of collecting, remembering, and idolizing. It invites viewers to reflect on their own collections, be they tangible or intangible, and to consider how these accumulations of objects and memories contribute to the fabric of their lives. Through the universal language of soccer and the transformative power of art, this exhibition bridges disparate worlds, inviting us to find common ground in the joy of collecting and the appreciation of beauty.
