PULPO GALLERY AT BERGSON

In 2024, the BERGSON in Munich's west will be a unique cultural venue in a triad of art, culinary arts and music.

On more than 20,000 square meters, a former heating plant in Aubing will offer an extensive cultural program, modern event formats and high-quality gastronomy. With a height of almost 25 meters, the heart of the existing building is the former boiler hall, today's atrium. Here, in addition to a restaurant as well as a day bar with beer garden and various event rooms, the jazz club "Barbastelle" will also be located in the basement of the impressive brick building.

The eye is automatically drawn to the brutalist architecture of the four silos, the former coal storage tanks, in the old building. At 220 square meters, this will be just one of the areas that the PULPO Gallery will occupy. In the adjacent new building, the gallery's main rooms extend over four floors and 1,800 square meters - ideal spaces for a varied and diverse program, which will be characterized above all by collaborations with different institutions, artists, curators and people with visions.

Right next to it is the concert hall with 400 seats and the highest technical finesse. In the selection of the musical program and in the design of the in-house productions, the focus is primarily on the combination of quality, passion and innovation.

The BERGSON aims to enrich cultural life far beyond Munich's borders as a place whose philosophy is characterized by pioneering spirit, innovative spirit, courage, closeness and joy, in addition to a high quality of content.

It is a promise: The promise of music, fine arts and knowledge combined with multi-faceted culinary delights as well as outstanding architecture to create an overall experience.
