Postponed Indefinitely
Important Notice
PULPO GALLERY sadly has to postpone Rulton Fyder: The Treachery of Things for an indefinite period of time as we haven't been able to make contact with Rulton Fyder since July 22, 2021 despite numerous attempts via all available channels. Whilst the concept of the show as well as most works had been completed ahead of his disappearance, it is with a heavy heart that we are taking this step.
His Instagram post dated July 13, 2021 in which he hinted at serious health issues has caused great concern for his wellbeing amongst our gallery staff as well as numerous collectors that have reached out to us in past months.
Should anyone have had contact with Rulton Fyder since July 22, 2021, or have more information about his wellbeing, we would be most grateful for a message or an update.
Show Description
In the mid-1960s René Magritte read Michel Foucault’s “Les Mots et les choses” (The Order of Things) which was the same title Magritte had given an exhibition in New York City. It was this relationship between words and things that so many of his works explored with startlingly disorienting effect.
